The Lighthouse is a program of Orangewood Foundation for survivors of sex trafficking in Orange County. This residential program helps them return to a healthy and productive life. The Lighthouse is staffed 24/7 by Orangewood employees who have the experience and training to understand this unique population and offer specialized, individualized support.

Human Trafficking and
Sex Trafficking Statistics
Human trafficking – subjecting men, women and children to force, fraud or coercion for sexual exploitation and/or forced labor – has become a growing cancer in Orange County as well as the rest of California and the United States. Sex trafficking – selling women and children for sexual exploitation – is part of this cancer and both target the vulnerable in our society.
According to the Human Trafficking Victim Report published by the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force, it assisted 284 victims in 2016 out of which 155 were new victims. This means that in Orange County alone, Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force assisted 12 to 13 new victims each month, on an average.
